Eviction Day in the Big Brother house and Julie Chen gives us a lot of surprises. Read our recap below and check out our forums for everything Big Brother!
Eviction Day in the Big Brother house started off slowly and quietly. As always, the houseguests spent some time in the HOH for the lockdown. Things didn’t start to pick up until shortly before the live show when Kristen tried one last time to get a few votes. Unfortunately, her efforts over the past few days weren’t enough to save her in the game as she was evicted with a 6-1 vote. However, she can go home knowing that she tried her hardest to stay in the game. Hayden disclosed his alliance, “The Brigade” to Kristen in his goodbye video, so maybe now she has a better understanding of why she was unable to gather the votes she needed.
Julie Chen revealed that Ragan was the houseguest who received the most votes and will be offered the saboteur job, but only if the new HOH chooses to open Pandora’s Box. She also said that Big Brother 11’s Jeff and Jordon will be visiting the house this week.
Grodner’s taking a huge chance with Jordan. She’s not exactly bright, so I won’t be at all surprised to hear her say “So, what do y’all think about the Brigade?!” ~ Kristin
This week’s endurance competition involved a giant paint can with a platform near the bottom and a railing that was approximately waist high from the platform. The houseguests were to stand on the platform and hold on to the railing as the paint can slowly started to spin. The houseguests were sporadically sprayed with paint and a giant paintbrush was lowered periodically to brush against each houseguest as they spun around. The speed of the spinning changed during the game. Julie announced that the first houseguest to fall would be the only Have Not for the week.
Because the feeds were cut during the beginning of the competition, we were unable to hear Kathy make a deal. She offered to be the first one to jump off the paint can in exchange for being safe from eviction for the week. All of the houseguests agreed. When the feeds were back about 30 minutes into the competition, Enzo was also out of the game. Shortly after, Brendon also fell. Lane, Britney, and Hayden fell next leaving, once again, Ragan and Matt in the final two. After 15 minutes or so, Matt agreed that he wouldn’t put Ragan on the block, so Ragan jumped from the can giving the HOH to Matt.

All of the houseguests, except Brendon and Rachel, have been lively and happy tonight. Brendon apologized to Rachel several times for not winning the competition and she seemed to be ok with it. Understandably, she’s been on a roller-coaster ride of emotion, because she and Brendon are aware that they are the biggest target in the house.
Next up: Waiting to see what happens with Pandora’s Box, looking for clues that point to Ragan accepting the job as saboteur, and a visit from Jeff and Jordan. The houseguests will be having an eventful weekend and they don’t even know it yet!
