Recap: Mini-Feed Yakdate, Mon. July 19

We at YakkityYaks realize that keeping up to date with the Big Brother feeds 24/7 is a tough task. That’s why we decided to start off mini-feed updates to give you the “gist” of the on-goings of the house to go along with the usual esteemed detailed updates (which you can find here!) Every morning, the Yak will let you know what happened the previous day in the BB house….and it wouldn’t be a Yak article without our own spin! Member comments and thoughts will be thrown in the mix, too! Click below to read our first Yakdate and join in the fun in our forums!

Well, now with her uberalliance, Rachel has assured herself that she will make the final 11. ~ Yellowdog

As Rachel goes through the 389576th scenario in her head in her attempts to overthink veto replacements, she verifies that her and Brendon are not Enzo and Lane’s target. Rachel seems to be convincing herself that Andrew is the right replacement because she is unsure if he will nominate her or Brendon in the future. As the night went on, Brendon was trying to remind Rachel to not flip flop as much, which of course got her all defensive. After coming to the decision with her ‘alliance’ that Matt will be the replacement, she began considering Andrew again. Meanwhile, Britney and Monet come up with a plan to throw Andrew “under the bus” (the most overused Big Brother phrase so far this season), so that he’s evicted instead of Monet. The Brigade later decides that they should just vote Monet out and backdoor Brendon next week (of course, they think they already won HOH next week). Now, did we get a little Kristen/Hayden action real late last night? Not only that, but they acknowledged to each other that they feel something in their relationship and Hayden doesn’t want to step on any toes with whomever she may be seeing outside of the house.

BB is on the phone right now trying to get Dr. Phil to move into the house as the new saboteur. ~ Kristin

BB woke the HGs up around 9am BBT. Veto ceremony should be later and HGs are called into the DR from the get-go. But we can’t have veto before the new and improved “stomp on back” ritual. Before the veto ceremony, the houseguests are their usual boring selves lounging around or having small talk. Outdoor lockdown called around 11:20 BBT with Britney in the DR.

Rachel stands, moves to the end of the couches, and says, “Well, this has been a really tough decision… my replacement nominee is…….. (dramatic pause effect)….. And… Ma… And… Ma… And…. Ma….And…. Ma…. I can’t make up my mind!!!” And while she is starting to say each of their names, they are standing up, sitting down, standing up, sitting down. She will then ask for some more time to go up to the HoH room and call everyone up 1 by 1 for some more strategizing because she really wants this to be the biggest moment in BB history but can’t figure it out for herself. ~kmteach

And with that, up goes Matt. Monet, naturally, was sad after the ceremony. She knows she is probably on her way out and didn’t think it made sense. Enzo, Monet and Britney speculate that Matt didn’t actually volunteer – it doesn’t make sense to them why anyone would offer themselves as a pawn. (In all honesty, it really doesn’t make sense. They’re right.)  Britney and Monet convinced themselves Monet might need only one vote to stay in. It will be a surprise when they realize it’s not just one vote. Monet considered DOR if she can keep her $. Monet and Britney use time that could be used for campaigning to make fun of the other girls in the house. (Naturally, to make themselves feel superior.)

Maybe Brendan is singing a song about dolphins. ~ hevnlee on what might be going on under the covers with Rachel

Not sure why, but Britney felt the need to isolate herself later in the Cabana room to cry. She’s not leaving, but apparently it bothers her that Monet is still likely going out that door. Not long after, Monet joins. A ploy for sympathy? What a week for these two. Tears and Fishsticks. Someone should write a country song about that and put these two in the video. ~ Kristin

It began to look like we might revisit ghosts of Big Brother past. Monet threatened to throw away all the fish sticks so Brendon has nothing to eat. Britney contemplated DOR unless BB assured her that her family was OK. Monet might start eating (non-slop diet) since she’s going home anyways. And that seemed to be the last sign of anything remotely interesting for hours…Until about 7:14BBT, Big Brother decided to make things interesting by ringing the stockade bell (the punishment from the veto competition) in the middle of “cooking time with Rachel and Kathy.”

And, my friends, I leave you with an interesting question to ponder… Why would Brendan need to lift weights? Wasn’t lifting Rachel’s boobs enough weightlifting for the day? ~ Kristin
