Report: Cast of ABC’s “Nashville” To Embark US Tour

nashville_ABCHave you been entranced by the sounds of Chip Esten, Clare Bowen (Scarlett O’Conner), Sam Palladio (Gunnar Scott), Jonathan Jackson (Avery) and the rest of the ABC “Nashville” cast? If I didn’t know better, I’d say you are! (See what I did there) According to internet reports, you might have the opportunity to see them LIVE on stage in a US city near you. During PaleyFest, Chip Esten (Deacon Claybourne) hinted at a tour being in the “vague stages” of planning. But there is a catch… The show’s two biggest stars will not be in attendance.

Connie Britton (Rayna James) and Hayden Panettiere (Juliette Barnes), however, will NOT be a part of this proposed tour. Esten told The Hollywood Reporter, “We’re not sure exactly what it’s going to be or what shape it’s going to take right now. I’m down to do the greatest version possible we can do of that. Hopefully [Nashville producer and husband to series creator Callie Khouri] T Bone Burnett would be involved in some way because all of this music comes from him and that T-Bone touch is on everything. What ever we do, I hope that always has that part of it.” As for Britton, she noted that touring is just not in the cards for her right now, while stage fright is something Panettiere would need to get over. “My stage fright is pretty awful. But as you can see on the show, you never know what the heck is going to happen.”

What might be slowing the process down is how each member of the cast has their own individual projects going on, so to get everyone together for a few weeks to tour is a logistical challenge. The interest is without a doubt there, so the details need to be ironed out. This wouldn’t be the first time a show of this nature tackled a tour. The cast of “Glee” embarked on a tour early on in the show. “Nashville” has also released an album featuring the show’s music from the first half of the season and has been well received in the industry.
