Consider this more of a Survivor critique than a recap. Wow, that Kim sure knows the art of manipulation. She’s juggling numerous alliances, one with all women and one with the newly formed Salani tribe. Jay is appropriately leery of trusting the women but Troy who up until now has played a pretty good game, didn’t bat an eyelash when Kim lied to him about Mike bringing up his name as the next person who is a threat. Troy didn’t even bother to ask one other person who was present at that reward! This is Survivor people! Is Kim the only one that has ever watched the show? I have to give her props. She can sit and chat sweetly over 7-up and BBQ while planning your demise looking you straight in the eye. She’s been great in this game.
Why is it so hard for me to get into this season? Is it because I don’t really care about any of the contestants? How can there not be one person on that show that I really could care less about? Nina I liked, she’s gone. Bill I liked, he’s gone. I was excited that Leif finally won the 7-up challenge simply because the poor guy hasn’t won one thing out there. He tries so hard and was so excited to win! Then we have bitter Betty Chelsea ruin his moment with her STFU comment. This makes me want her to go home. She seems petulant and spoiled and came off as a poor sport. I loved watching her squirm when Tarzan asked her if she didn’t like him because she didn’t like the plastic surgeon that did her boob job. She’s annoyed by him but clearly intimidated. I kept waiting for her to say. “How dare you even ask me that? I just don’t like you, you’re creepy!” Alas, she just kind of hung her head and wimped out. What was she thinking talking to Jay about voting out Mike when Christina and Alicia were sitting with her? Way to make Jay think they still have a Salani alliance. She’s getting tired and she’s getting sloppy. I would cut her out of my alliance quick. She’s becoming a liability.
Christine and Alicia appear to be a waste of space. They’re probably smart biding their time waiting for Kim to officially announce the all girl finale. Apparently they think the guys are going to roll over on this one. Mike went home last night because Kim told Troy a lie. That’s okay, this is Survivor. No one else is playing. Kim seems to have all the strategy. Mike didn’t have any either. He admittedly didn’t want to come out too strong so attempted to fly under the radar like Jonas. They are both on the jury now.
What happens next week? Will the guys wake up to Kim’s master manipulation? Is it too late for the men? Can Tarzan save them?
Until next week, outwit, outplay, outlast!
