Your Survivor Recap: Little Miss Perfect
Lisa was still reeling from last tribal when she tried and succeeded in saving her ally Mike. Sensing her insecurities about “playing the game” Jonathan jumped at the chance to try and save himself by comforting the former child star who admitted to him she feels the need to be liked. To persuade her to break free from the Tandang alliance, he said the audience wants two things to happen; for Lisa to succeed and for her to choose the nice people to play the game.
Reward Challenge
In the reward challenge the survivors were divided into teams of four. Because the numbers weren’t even, someone had to sit out and once again it was Abi. From what Jeff Probst said, she wasn’t chosen to be on a team. One player from each team began the obstacle course by crawling under a bamboo grid through the water, up a ramp and sliding down a wall, making their way through a pit full of mud, digging up a bag of balls, sliding their bodies under a log over a pit of rice. Once the first survivor completed the course, the next team member could begin. Once all four team members completed the course they could take all twelve balls from the bags and throw them into a makeshift wire basketball hoop. Jonathan and Mike were the first players on the course. Knowing there were four bags of balls to dig up and wanting to save his team time, Jonathan chose to not only uncover his bag but all four bags. It paid off in the end because his team members which included, Denise, Carter and Malcolm delivered supplies and toys to a local school, mingled with locals and enjoyed a feast. While there, they discussed persuading Lisa and/or Mike to join their side so they would have the numbers to vote out Abi or Pete. They discussed Abi having the immunity idol and possibly giving it to Pete.
Back at camp, Abi “forgave” Lisa for playing both sides by saying she was probably naïve and didn’t know what she was doing. She continued by saying that Lisa needed to work with them from now on and the goal was to get out Jonathan. Abi still wants to get rid of Mike because he is “annoying.” Really Abi?? Artis says that Abi is a loose cannon and thinks she knows so much about the game, which she doesn’t.
Immunity Challenge
At the immunity challenge the survivors were each assigned what could be described as a mini seesaw in the form of a paddle. While holding onto the handle they were required to roll six small balls down the handle and into the holes strategically placed on the paddle. Mike quickly got the hang of it and Pete was a close second until he knocked off several of his balls. Mike quickly won the immunity in what seemed to be an impossible challenge.
Knowing he was a target, Jonathan continued his discussions with Lisa. Mike and Lisa pondered the possibility of flipping.
Tribal Council
At tribal council Jeff asked Lisa if there was any fallout from the previous tribal. Lisa said the players not within her alliance were the most gracious, which Abi took umbrage to. Apparently she thinks that calling Lisa naïve and gullible is being gracious. Jeff asked Abi if there was a player she was worried about and she said Lisa, which prompted disbelief from some of the other players. Lisa stated that her actions have proven her loyalty and what else could she do to convince her? Artis was asked if he felt comfortable that his alliance had the numbers and he said yes, but you never know.
Time to vote! Will Skupin and Lisa flip? The votes are counted. It’s tied 4 votes Penner and 4 votes Artis. Third member of the jury is…Artis! Lisa had decided to remain loyal to Tandang while Skupin voted out Artis. Abi’s face was priceless.
What will happen next week? Will Lisa finally see the light or be determined to take the mean girl to the end?
Until next week Survivor fans, outwit, outplay outlast!!
