Well Survivor fans, we are getting down to the wire. With Penner’s exit we are down to six Survivors this week. Just to recap; Malcolm, Denise, Lisa and Skupin are in a four person alliance for now which leaves Abi and Carter vulnerable. Abi is basically fighting for her life and continues to intimate that she has the fourth immunity idol. Hopefully no one is stupid enough to buy into that lie.
Reward Challenge:
It’s family day at Survivor! Jeff surprises the Survivors with introducing their loved ones. Malcolm’s little brother arrives. Skupin is overwhelmed by seeing his son. Lisa cries as her little brother arrives. Abi’s mother comes to visit. Denise snots on her husbands shirt and Carter tears up when seeing his mother.
The challenge is this. The Survivors must throw bags of mud to their loved one and they must then knock off bamboo poles. The first one that knocks down all their poles wins. It’s really close. Carter and his Mom are doing really well. She’s a dead eye and immediately makes headway. Abi and her Mom are not doing well as her Mom just keeps dodging the mud bags. Malcolm and his brother are closing in and they win immunity! The reward is that Malcolm can bring his brother back to camp for the day and to spend the night to bond over the Survivor
experience. Jeff Probst tells him that he can pick one more Survivor to share in the reward. He picks Lisa and her brother Justice. Skupin tells Malcolm to ask if he can pick one more and Jeff P. says yes. Malcolm then picks Skupin as Denise and Carter looks longingly at Malcolm, hoping he will pick them. Abi’s mother, Denise’s husband and Carter’s Mom must then leave as the rest return to camp. Lisa’s brother talks strategy to Lisa and explains to her that this is a game and it’s about winning. Since he knows her and knows that she wants to be truthful and honest he gives her the kick in the pants she needs to consider turning on her alliance. Lisa and her brother and Skupin and his son discuss getting rid of Malcolm who is a huge threat. They pray about it. Malcolm says that he didn’t realize that group of four would “bond over Jesus.” Lisa and Skupin agree to attempt to get Carter with them and blindside Malcolm if he doesn’t win immunity.
Immunity challenge:
Oh it’s the old limp stick trip! Survivors must cross a bamboo balance beam in the water and get to a platform. They then must use a grappling hook to retrieve bags of sticks and ropes from under the water tied to a life preserver. They then must swim back to shore and tie those pieces of wood together with a rope to make the pole long enough and strong enough to hit their “button” which will release an immunity flag. This challenge is clearly between Carter and Malcolm who’s poles are either too short or too limp. (ha ha sorry) In a game changing move Malcolm makes his pole long enough and strong enough to hit the target and win immunity. Lisa and Skupin’s plan goes up in smithereens!
Back at camp the talk is who to send home Carter or Abi. Abi dilly dallied during the immunity challenge so as to keep her lie going that she didn’t have to try because she has the immunity idol. Either that or she’s just lazy. Malcolm and Skupin discuss whether to send Carter or Abi to the jury. Carter is a threat physically and socially. Everyone likes him and no one can stand Abi. Wouldn’t it be smarter to sit with Abi in the final three? Malcolm says that if Abi goes home tonight it’s because she’s a bitch! Hmm, sounds like Abi’s strategy is working. Carter knows he’s on the chopping block and can see clearly in the faces of Skupin and Lisa that he’s probably going home.
Tribal Council:
Jeff once again does his darnedest to reveal everything that everyone is thinking. The Survivors are forthcoming in their quandary between Abi and Carter. Abi not surprisingly does not play the immunity idol which she doesn’t have and Carter goes to the jury.
Will Abi go home next week finally? Malcolm must use his immunity idol which guarantees him final four. How will it play out? Until next week Survivor fans, outwit, outplay, outlast!
