There’s a lot of great information in it, to clear up all speculation that’s been going around, but the highlights according to WLBB are as follows:

Here’s the one that caught my eye right away………first, they say no mystery hg reveal until July 9th BUT earlier today when you moved your mouse over the “?” picture on the CBS bio page it said July 7th…….hmmmmmmmmmm

Also, sounds like being a Have-Not is going to SUCK……..reminds us of that Dr. Seuss book where it was better to have a star on your stomach, then it wasn’t, etc……

And what we REALLY like the idea of is the viewers getting to decide the food restriction starting the second week!

Sounds like it’s going to be a bumpy ride this year!

Okay all you Yakksters, get ready! The Big Brother 11 Season is upon us and once again we have a tour of the Big Brother 11 House by none other than Julie Chen! (Sporting a trendy top that adorably masks and yet enhances her “bump”)……come on in to our forums to discuss!

You can see the tour here but one thing we need to point out is that while we previously reported a rumor that was going around on the internet about a mystery 3rd bedroom with a jungle theme………..the jungle theme rumor was wrong, however there is a mystery, locked 3rd bedroom that Julie says the houseguests definitely WILL NOT enjoy. We’ll get to see this mystery room on premiere night!

Plus, CBS has issued an official press release regarding the season and it’s a great read!

What group did you fit into in high school? That is the question 12 strangers will face on the season premiere of BIG BROTHER, Thursday, July 9 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

12 strangers will move into the Big Brother house and learn that they will be ‘kickin it old school’ this summer, high school to be exact. The House Guests will be shocked to learn that they will be playing the game in one of four familiar high school cliques – popular, athletes, brainiacs and off beats. They will compete for food, safety from eviction and luxury prizes as part of their clique.

They will also be surprised to discover that a mystery 13th Houseguest is coming to the BIG BROTHER house, to join the game and give an advantage to one of the cliques.

“You may have graduated, but the truth is we never leave high school and this summer we are going to prove it,” says Allison Grodner, Executive Producer of BIG BROTHER. “From the brains to the jocks to the off-beat, everyone will be able to identify to one of these cliques, giving the viewers a group to root for and against from the very beginning. The division will cause instant drama.”

The houseguests will live and compete in a house that has been transformed into a mean, green, eco-friendly living machine. The interior walls of the house are covered with a reconstituted wood panel product made from re-claimed wood flakes. This eco-friendly material reduced the amount of new lumber used to build the BIG BROTHER house. For the first time ever, the Houseguests will be made fully aware of the amount of waste they create, and will be required to sort, recycle and place all food items in an outdoor manual compost center, as well as an indoor automatic composter. The Head of Household Suite feels like seaside in Big Sur, Calif., where actual driftwood hangs on the copper patina tinted walls while a working waterfall, using recycled water, trickles over stacked stone to serve as a headboard. Zebra wood columns (all faux wood) press into the room framing a contemporary window that overlooks the “surf.”

Following the premiere on Thursday, July 9 (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT), BIG BROTHER will be broadcast three nights weekly, beginning Sunday, July 12 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), Tuesday, July 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) and the LIVE eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, beginning Thursday, July 16 (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT).

An interview posted on victoriaadvocate.com carries snippets from many of this season’s houseguests with their expectations and thoughts on the upcoming season, including a chuckle inducing quote from Chima, “I thought ‘Big Brother’ would be a great way to make a ton of money in a limited time without really having to work for it.” (While it may seem like you don’t have to work for it, I doubt anyone that’s made it to the end would see it that way!)

Within this article was a VERY interesting quote from Grodner herself…..

“Executive producer Allison Grodner teased that one of the three bedrooms, a jungle-themed enclave, will feature a nasty surprise.

“It is a room that will test their resolve,” Grodner said during a recent tour of the newest “Big Brother” house. “I will go out on a limb and say that it is the worst room to sleep in any ‘Big Brother.’ After 11 seasons, that’s saying a lot. This is a special treat for the houseguests. Each week, one group of houseguests will end up in this room.”

PLUS she made mention of the mystery 13th houseguest, who will be revealed on July 7th, as we reported earlier today….

“One clique will be joined by a mystery 13th houseguest when the show premieres July 9. Rumors have been swirling online that the 13th spot would go to a contestant who appeared in a previous season of “Big Brother.” HTML code on the show’s official Web site points to someone with the first name Brian.”

Soooooooooooo……….Brian from last season Brian? Brian who had the potential to be right up there with Dr. Will in terms of Big Brother gameplay had he not been so arrogant from jumpstreet Brian? There have been media day pics and videos going around today, with pictures of the Big Brother house, so we’ve already had time to get a decent look at what the house will be like in the upcoming season. However, CBS has released official pictures on their Big Brother website, and they’re pretty darn cool if we do say so ourselves!

Okay, lots of rumors going around about no washer but having a dryer……I’m not domestic enough to see whether these are both dryers or one is a washer

We here at YakkityYaks thought it would be a good idea, with all the different tidbits floating around, to do a roundup of what we know, don’t know and are guessing so far about the upcoming season of Big Brother 11. With just about 16 days to go until the premiere it sure is getting exciting!

Here’s what we know so far that can be said as fact:

• Thanks to our own member Sassygal’s inquiry (she’s the one responsible for first breaking this one on the web! Way to go Sassy!) to Showtime, Big Brother After Dark WILL be returning to the airwaves this summer.
• Housecalls with Gretchen will NOT be returning this summer, due to lack of sponsorship.
• Big Brother 11 will premiere on July 9th, with the first eviction to be on July 16th.
• Julie Chen WILL be hosting all season, unless her in utero bambino decides to make an early appearance.

Here’s what we do NOT know for SURE:

• The exact number of houseguests (although there’s a lot of guessing and surmising going around, obviously nothing’s confirmed yet until the CBS website updates it)
• The “twist” (for more though see our other articles with guesses on it, and read below)

Here’s the speculations currently circulating around the web:

• The house theme this year is eco-friendly.
• One possible twist is that there’s no set prize money and the houseguests have to earn it somehow.
• Another possible twist clue centers around high school type cliques (although personally, I swear to god if the cast of High School Musical, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Hannah Montana or ANY of the Jonas Brothers show up I’m running away.)
• Houseguests will actually be going into the house on July 5th (hope they at least get to see some sort of fireworks in sequester!)
