We here at the Yak recently got word (thanks to our very own SaintDagame) that there’ll be a slight change in your Live Feed viewing this summer…but don’t fret! Essentially, Superpass won’t be working with old BB viewers or RealPlayer. You will need to update your version of Adobe Flash (can be done here), as…Details
Scouting around the ‘net, in anticipation for yet another season of our glorious summer staple, Big Brother, I found this little tidbit for y’all to peruse. Keep in mind, nothing is confirmed with CBS/BB either, this is all speculation and as the source site states as well, the UK version of Big Brother will be concluding after this next season, so there may have been confusion with that. And as always, you can join us in our forum to discuss!
So, in a recent interview with BuddyTV, James Rhine has stated that there was a rumor circulating amongst BB veterans that the 12th season would be the last. The network hasn’t made any statement regarding this, and one would think it would obviously depend on the ratings for this upcoming season as to whether or not it would be renewed. Considering the aridness of television during the summer, I would think that something that’s been going on for as long as Big Brother has would be renewed. What would CBS fill in all those timeslots with?Details
CBS announced the new 11 teams competing on the next season of the hit, The Amazing Race, on Thursday. Big Brother 11′s winner, Jordan Lloyd, and new boyfriend, Jeff Schroeder, will be one among 10 other teams competing for the $1 million grand prize at the finish line. They will be joining a 71 year…Details
So, Big Brother 11 has been over for about a month or so and the houseguests have been home, doing their own thing. They’ve been out and about, doing interviews, getting on Facebook/Twitter/Myspace and even making their own blogs. And the fans have been gobbling it up, every bit they can get.
I (Ahrean) can admit, I eat that up as well. I love it. I grab every nugget I can get and read it because I genuinely love hearing all I can. You almost feel like you are a part of their lives because they were a part of yours all summer long. However, as a fan, you have be realistic as well. And this sucks to say, but the houseguests most likely DON’T know you as individuals. They do care, in the sense that without the fans there wouldn’t have been a show and without the show they wouldn’t have gotten the exposure they have now. BUT that doesn’t mean you get to place unrealistic expectations on them either.
Case in point. Jeff and Jordan.
Yakksters, this Thursday’s “fan favorite” guests on Real Superpass have been confirmed, thanks to Joker’s Updates. Big Brother 11 Winner, Jordan, and fellow houseguest, Jeff, will be featured on Superpass this Thursday (Sept 24) from Seattle. Tickets are still available for those in the Seattle area. Let us know if you’re going! Come discuss this…Details
Summer lovin’, had us a blast……..summer lovin’, happened so fast! Big Brother 11 is officially over and WOW, what a summer it was! We had tears, laughter, fights galore, and an expulsion!
But one thing’s for sure, it was the summer of JeJo! Or, if you prefer, Jordeff. Jeff has to be, by far, one of the most popular houseguests ever to come on Big Brother, as is evidenced by his CDT win AND tonight’s America’s Choice Favorite Houseguest win. Jordan also shared her modem of popularity, as she won the America’s Choice Jury Vote, which gave her the 5-2 win.
Jeff and Jordan weren’t your stereotypical showmance either. A showmance, by it’s very definition, is two people flirting and such in the Big Brother house, using each other to further themselves in the game while having no real romantic interest in each other. Jeff and Jordan, we truly believe, did have interest in each other and weren’t using each other. They truly cared for one another. Now that may not translate outside of the house but they had each other, in the game and outside the game as well…..in the human moments.Details
Tonight is THE night! Will Jordan or Kevin win part 3 of the final HOH competition? Who will they take? Will Natalie squeak by to the Final 2? Noone knows for sure yet, but here’s what we do know.

Last night was Part 1 of the 3 part final HOH competition. It started immeditaly after Michele Noonan’s eviction. The competition was called “Log Jam” and the concept was for the contestants to hang onto a key that was strung up over them, while walking on a log that spun.
They also had wind, leaves, rain, “snow” and even ice thrown at them; whilst production had fun making the log spin in different directions, at different paces and even stopping/starting it suddenly.
Now here’s the thing. At the start of the competition Julie Chen stated that the contestants had to have at least one hand HOLDING the key at all times, or they’d be disqualified. At various points during the competition, Natalie was observed shaking and flexing one hand, hanging on with the other BUT, if you take a look at the two pictures shown below, you’ll see that she was hanging onto the ROPE and NOT the key itself. It appears as though her pinky or glove was touching the key, BUT noone can tell us that this constitutes her actually hanging onto the key.
Thanks to our very own member YoYo for bringing this up in today’s lfu’s (post #17)! There are going to be six members of the Big Brother 11 jury, and thusly there’s a strong chance for a tie in the end voting, for the winner of Big Brother 11. This is due to Chima’s expulsion from the Big Brother house (thanks Chima! Your one accomplishment in the game, well wait, two. #1 – You’re no longer there and #2 – Because you’re not there, we get to cast your vote.).
So, since we, America, get to cast a vote too, in case of a tie presumably it made us wonder (after YoYo brought it up)……shouldn’t we get the full privileges of being a jury member? And that privilege?Details
