You may remember Michele from Big Brother, season 11, as the science geek, poorly paired with Ronny and Chima (who was our first on air expelled houseguest) – But take a look at her now!  Michele went in for a genuine Hollywood plastic makeover session where she reportedly received some brand new boobs, rhinoplasty (you know, the nose knows) and veneers (ahhh those pearly whites.)  Yep, we even have the before and after photos thanks to GoodPlasticSurgery.com and to member “Shiny Beige” for pointing us to it!

Personally, I think she looked cuter as her old self.  Matter of fact, it doesn’t look like her at all to me.  We here at the Yak wonder if it really is.  If it is though, I find her looking more like Jennifer from Big Brother Season 6.  What do you think?  Is it her?  We are discussing in the forum here!

“Big Brother” host Julie Chen never misses a chance to tell viewers (and contestants) to “expect the unexpected” when it comes to the CBS reality show.

This season, she really meant it.

The past two weeks of “Big Bro” have been among the most tense, action-packed and unpredictable in the history of the decade-old format. Critics who still think the show is about as exciting as watching paint dry (that would be season one, though even that year had its charms) don’t know what they’re missing.

We’ve seen power in the house shift dramatically — from being overwhelmingly in the hands of an alliance of contestants most viewers would likely label “the meanies,” to  being fully in the grasp of a rival coalition (let’s call ‘em “the naive but nice”).

A returning contestant named Jessie went from being within weeks of pulling off a stunning victory, to being the first to go. One of the strongest female players in the game’s history, a feisty pa named Chima, self-destructed and became one of the few players ever to be ejected from the game (though she still somehow insists she chose to quit).

In the middle of all the drama, as always, are executive producers Allison Grodner, Rich Meehan and Scott Einziger. We’ve been talking to Grodner every Thursday after the eviction show, and she kept her promise to talk to us tonight– despite all the recent hubbub.

Here’s an edited version of what she had to say this week.

Two caveats: Grodner wouldn’t talk about who won tonight’s head of household competition (though any “Big Bro” fan worth his or her salt has already checked the Net to find out who won). And, after writing up this interview, we realized we forgot to ask Grodner a very key question: Will America end up the seventh member of the jury?

Knowing Grodner, she probably wouldn’t have spilled.

So… Chima. What happened?

What we said on the show is what happened. You come on the show, you agree to  play by the rules. And putting on the microphone is a crucial part of the show. We need to hear (players) in order to do the show. And a big rule is ‘do not destroy equipment.’

Chima, of course, claims she quit– even though she certainly didn’t look like she was quitting when she went into the diary room.

When people are escorted out of the Big Brother house, they’re out of the game. Once you’ve been exposed (to the behind the scenes operation), the game is over.

(Grodner notes the only exception to this came in season nine when medical emergencies forced evacuation of two players).

How tough was the decision to end Chima’s game?

It was not an easy call to make. We want everyone to go out the front door, not the side door. It was serious. It was made with a heavy heart. I wish her well. She’s an intelligent, lovely person. I know (some fans) beg to differ, but….

You had a cameo in Tuesday’s show.

(Laughs) I don’t particularly like to be a part of the sho. I like to keep the producers away from the show as much as possible… but there was no choice. In a way, it was incredible to break the fourth wall.

Chima has been vocal on Twitter. Is this really Chima tweeting.

Yeah. They sign contracts with us where they need to discuss press with CBS. (CBS Media Relations) is aware of what she’s releasing. She seems to be playing by the rules…outside of the house.

Natalie and Chima and others really seemed to have a problem with the Coup d’Etat.

It’s the sore loser thing. The test of character on the show is how you deal with things when you’re down and out…. If they had had the power, they would have used it.

They couldn’t have been surprised. Plus, you warned them something big was happening….

There were many people (in the house) who had seen ‘Big Brother’ and had a sense the mystery power was the Coup d’Etat. It would have been easy for anyone to plan strategically for its use. (The complaining) is bewildering to all of us given the amount of warning they had.

So Lydia was voted out this week. Jeff and Jordan came close to backdooring Russell or Michelle due to Kevin’s little lie. And Natalie survived!

Kevin has been in the shadows but he really stepped up tonight, along with Natalie. The lie they told tonight is partially true…. Russell considers himself even with Jeff.

(As for Natalie), she was so convincing with her lying. On Sunday’s show you’ll see where she strikes a deal with Jeff and Jordan. Natalie is playing the game. She was in Jessie’s shadow. But she’s a thinker. And she’s certainly a liar.

What about her big lie — namely, claiming she’s just 18, when she’s really much older? The HGs seem clueless. Don’t they wonder why the producers don’t object when she drinks alcohol?

And she’s also talked about going to casinos! We’ve told Natalie we can’t be a part of her lie. So if any contestants asked us about it in the DR, we would just say, “If there was illegal activity going on, we wouldn’t allow it.”

But nobody’s asked?

Nope.

As anyone who has had the live feeds knows, Chima Simone, who was expelled from the Big Brother House, was using the word “terrorist” to describe fellow housemate Russell.  What wasn’t shown on television however was just how often she used the term, and HOW she used the term.  On television, the one time they showed her saying it, it was pretty mellow, and she explained it away as “He is terrorizing the people in the house.”  However, that is NOT what she meant.  All week long while she was HOH, she compared him to 9/11 and herself as the World Trade Center.  At one point, when Natalie couldn’t see him on the HOH cam, Chima pointed him out saying look, he blends in, that’s what terrorists do.  This went on and on and on all week.  So for her to now say that isn’t what she meant, well, that is exactly what she meant.

“Upon recently leaving the Big Brother show this season I have been privy to many judgments and criticisms made of every aspect of my being ranging from things as trivial as my appearance to more egregious comments referring to me as a racist.

As a woman of color, I have experienced racism first hand. I know what it is to be discriminated against so I would never want to inflict that pain onto someone else. I will, however, always stand up for myself. Many of you perceive my resolute candor objectionable, but I have always been outspoken and will remain so. I will never apologize for my looks, personality, or straightforwardness.

Nonetheless, I am particularly sorry that my words disparaged the regard and respect that should be shown to all cultures, especially the Middle Eastern community in this time of great turmoil within our nations. In describing Russell’s abusive, bullying, and threatening actions towards me and other houseguests, I referred to him as a terrorist. I used a phrase that was insensitive given his Middle Eastern descent and I apologize to all who are justifiably offended with my use of that racially charged term.

My sentiments concerning his behavior, however, remain intact. I do not agree with his antagonistic rampages throughout the house. Russell constantly demoralized many of us on a consistent basis and his conduct was alarming, daunting, and terrifying.

Fortunately, for me, I do not have to be subjected to those tirades anymore. I am going on with my life in the real world. I wish the remaining BB housemates the best of luck!”

Afternoon Yakksters! It’s an uproar in the BB world today. CBS has made last-minute changes in a scramble to avoid the wrath of Chima. She has been threatening production that she will wreck havoc on the live show tonight if the “mystery” power is used to overthrow her nominations! So CBS’s solution? Tape the “live” show…or at least, that’s what we think. Earlier this morning, we noticed a message on the CBS website saying the live feeds will be down all day until 6PM PST/9PM EST. That leads us to believe BB has scrambled to tape tonight’s show to have the chance to edit out anything that Chima (or any other houseguest) would have done that might have gotten CBS in trouble if shown live. On top of that, we’re being told that CBS has turned away nearly 100 ticket holders for tonight’s live audience … So what do you think? Does this ruin the chance of what could have been one of the best Big Brother episodes of all-time? Does this ruin the chance of those who paid for the live feeds to not be able to see the aftermath of the Coup being used if there’s a lapse between the show’s taping & airing? Jeff used the power! He put up Natalie, then Jessie. The vote was done immediately. It was 3-2. Jessie was evicted! Voting to evict Jessie was Jordan, Kevin and Michelle.To evict Natalie was Russell and Lydia.(Jeff did not get to vote). Chima DID get to play in the new HOH. It was a comp. where questions were asked of two people, the winner of that round got to pick the next two people to go up against each other and so on. When Kevin got his question right, he pitted Jeff and Russell against each other, Jeff got it right. Cos thinks it was either Chima or Natale that pitted Jeff and Jordan against each other. (bitch!) It came down to Michelle and Kevin. Michelle won HOH.

Okay Yakksters, as you all know, I always do the show thread, every night it airs, I type it up for you as it happens. I had a VERY hard time doing so on Tuesday, August 11th’s episdoe though as my hands were shaking from anger.

I don’t work for CBS productions, so I have no idea how hard it would have to be to wittle down 24/7 feeds into 42 minutes of aired showtime, 3 times a week. That being said, if you’re going to show the fights, and the controversies, you would THINK you’d also show it in a way that it doesn’t seem slanted, unless you want to avoid bad publicity…….which is just what CBS did tonight.

So, you ask, what happened?

For the last several weeks, whenever Chima has been aggravated by Russell, she’s thrown out the insult of “terrorist” at him, due to his Lebanese background. Never mind her making fun of his ear, as she says “cauliflower ear” (Russells’ left ear is deformed), but she also at one point referred to him as Osama. This was an obvious reference to Osama Bin Laden, the most wanted terrorist in the world.

On tonight’s episode of Big Brother, however, her remarks were edited and shown in the context of her backpeddling efforts, after DR advisements that she tone it down (this is our supposition). So what did they show? They showed all of his rants, interwoven with her saying he was a terrorist b/c he is terrorizing the house. They did NOT show her calling him Osama, they did NOT show her calling him a terrorist in the derogatory sense. CBS wanted Chima, after her clip on Sunday talking about her rape, to seem sympathetic. And heck, they didn’t even show her remark about wanting to entice Russell into a fight, so he’d assault her, go to jail and hopefully he’d be raped.

Russell is no angel, by any means, but after Chima’s first week slaughter of Braden, which she later admitted to amping up to cause drama, it makes her much worse in our eyes.

So what’s the big deal you ask? Why is this so upsetting? It upsets us b/c the casual would NOT know about Chima’s real intentions with her remarks and think that only Russell was in the wrong. If you want to show the truth, show the WHOLE truth, not just a truth spun so casual viewers don’t think some maniac is running loose in the Big Brother house.

And let’s also not forget, Chima plans to throw a hissy fit of epic proportions should Jeff use the Coup D’etat on Thursday (which we REALLY hope he does). CBS and persons in the DR are frantically trying to figure out a way to keep her calm, but after Chima’s repeated defiance of production, why bother? Obviously they’re going to let her run loose in that house and not show who the REAL maniac is…….and it’s not Russell.

Chima, the current HOH on Big Brother 11, discussed the awful events in her life in 1999 where she was raped and attacked by a serial killer who’s since been put to death. This tragic even we’re sure left an indelible mark on her life and we applaud her courage to push past it.

That being said, while we cannot judge how she’s chosen to live her life since that terrible day, what we can judge is what we see every day on the Big Brother 11 live feeds. And what we’ve seen in the last couple of hours has to be the most vile things ever uttered on Big Brother.

Just a short while ago Chima was remarking to Jessie that she would like to entice Russell into a confrontation culminating in him, Russell, hitting her so she could charge him with assault, get him thrown in jail and then he’d be raped on a daily basis. If that weren’t bad enough, she proceeded to call him Osama.

Those of you with live feeds have had to endure the fish all day long because of her repeated declarations that Russell is a terrorist. Earlier she tried to backpeddle and say it’s because he’s terrorizing the house, not an actual terrorist……..and one might believe that had she not just called him by the first name of the most wanted terrorist in the world.

It’s one thing to be outspoken, but it’s another thing to first trash one man on live national television (Braden) and now proceed to trash Russell. Yes, he has a temper, yes he has said and done some nasty things as well but he’s NEVER risen to the levels Chima has tonight.

Ok well I am writing this quite late, but the BB kids all went to bed late tonight…  So it’s really, kinda the 16th… but let’s pretend it isn’t.  Who will be leaving tomorrow?  Well, that is all included in this update.

Ok so, as of yesterday morning, and really the afternoon, Braden was out the door.  They did their DR goodbyes, Jessie took studly pics of himself with the HOH camera, and everyone just kind of meandered.

Tonight however was a whole different ball of wax.  A plan was hatched that could actually keep Braden in the house.  An agreement was reached with Casey, Jordan, Jeff, Laura and Michele (who had fought with Chima over something stupid… I believe a bathroom cleaning job the night before) to vote and keep Braden.  That’s 5.  Ronnie was also included, and that makes 6.

Now, the jocks (Russ excluded) Chima, and Lydia caught wind of the plan, thanks to the worm, I mean Ronnie, and started grilling people left and right.  They got Laura up to the HOH first, and REALLY went after her, threatening her basically to vote with them or else.  Well, Laura held her own… I mean, she was REALLY good… and insulted them on more than a few occasions.  She said that she did not get on a plane leaving her family, friends, and boyfriend, to come here and be bullied into a vote.  She told them she will NOT be told who to vote for.

Next up was Jeff… They were telling him they know Chima is safe, but want his vote so they could all make amends and be a team again.  He said he would sleep on it (LOL) then came down and told Jordan what they said.

The jocks went to bed thinking they have it in the bag, calling Laura stupid, and saying that they will “take that bitch out” next week.

Then there was Ronnie… Ronnie is back and forth to both sides.  He told Jessie, Natalie and Chima that she has his vote for sure and not to be worried.  That would make it a tie and Jessie will send Braden packing.

Then, Ronnie told the other half of the house that for sure the plan is a go, making it 6-4, Braden staying.  So, who is he lying to?

Ronnie was also making SURE to tell the other side that he can almost guarantee that it will come down 5-5 because Casey will fold.

Well, what does it come down to?  My theory is Ronnie is trying to set up a mess, with him being innocent on the sidelines, but I don’t think it’s going to work.  I think, not sure, that his plan is to vote to keep Chima, making it 5-5, and letting Jessie send out Braden, and then in the aftermath, blame it on Casey.

Thing is, Casey is nothing if not honest, and I really don’t think in the long run, either side will buy it.  It’s time to choose sides Ronnie, or one way or the other, you will be found out and sent home.

Well kids, that’s it in a nutshell.  What will happen?  I guess we will wait and see.  In the meantime, as you wake this fine morning, know that Jessie and Natalie are safely cuddled in each others arms, and still think they are the most awesome, perfect people in the world.
