So, Big Brother 11 has been over for about a month or so and the houseguests have been home, doing their own thing. They’ve been out and about, doing interviews, getting on Facebook/Twitter/Myspace and even making their own blogs. And the fans have been gobbling it up, every bit they can get.

I (Ahrean) can admit, I eat that up as well. I love it. I grab every nugget I can get and read it because I genuinely love hearing all I can. You almost feel like you are a part of their lives because they were a part of yours all summer long. However, as a fan, you have be realistic as well. And this sucks to say, but the houseguests most likely DON’T know you as individuals. They do care, in the sense that without the fans there wouldn’t have been  a show and without the show they wouldn’t have gotten the exposure they have now. BUT that doesn’t mean you get to place unrealistic expectations on them either.

Case in point. Jeff and Jordan.

If you check out their Twitter accounts (Jeffschroeder23 and BBJordanlloyd) you will see they have over 15,000 followers each. That’s nowhere near Ashton Kutcher territory (he has over 3 million) BUT for a Big Brother houseguest, that’s alot. Both are new to Twitter, they’re just learning how to do it and such. In recent days I’ve seen more and more tweets to them, especially Jeff, asking why they don’t respond to fans and whether or not they care. Trust me, they do care. And if they could, they’d respond to each and every one they get BUT think of it this way…..15K followers, let’s say each follower tweets them at least once a day. That’s 15K tweets a day to respond to. It’s literally NOT POSSIBLE physically for them to respond. And then you have the stalker factor.

Poor Jeff has already felt that a bit, if not directly, in the sense that he did respond to one fan and, well, now the interpretation by others is that person feels as though Jeff knows them personally and has been saying things as such, to an extreme to say the least. Whether or not it’s because they like to rile others up or whether that person truly believes they know Jeff in that intimate of a nature, either way it shows exactly why they can’t respond to each and every Twitter.

It is not fair to other fans who would truly love to be able to get a “Hey” back and leave it at that BUT this isn’t a perfect world and some people take one response and stretch it to scary extremes.

Again, trust me, all the houseguests would love to be able to respond to every person that tweets them BUT they have to live too, they have their own lives. So leave them be, and be happy with what they put out there. If they can respond and want to, they will, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to push for more. They do appreciate the fans and they will put out there what they can, but one might not ever hear from them directly either.

Summer lovin’, had us a blast……..summer lovin’, happened so fast! Big Brother 11 is officially over and WOW, what a summer it was!  We had tears, laughter, fights galore, and an expulsion!

But one thing’s for sure, it was the summer of JeJo! Or, if you prefer, Jordeff. Jeff has to be, by far, one of the most popular houseguests ever to come on Big Brother, as is evidenced by his CDT win AND tonight’s America’s Choice Favorite Houseguest win. Jordan also shared her modem of popularity, as she won the America’s Choice Jury  Vote, which gave her the 5-2 win.

Jeff and Jordan weren’t your stereotypical showmance either. A showmance, by it’s very definition, is two people flirting and such in the Big Brother house, using each other to further themselves in the game while having no real romantic interest in each other. Jeff and Jordan, we truly believe, did have interest in each other and weren’t using each other. They truly cared for one another. Now that may not translate outside of the house but they had each other, in the game and outside the game as well…..in the human moments.

It truly was the summer of JeJo, whether you liked it or not, and in the end, good triumphed evil. Natalie may have had a good strategic game BUT Jordan had a good social game and a better competitive game than Natalie. And she proved that you don’t always have to play dirty to win this game. You can play naive, you can be ignorant, you can be gullible, and you can win when you need to, in order to get to the end. And that’s what Jordan did, with the help of Jeff as well. The summer of JeJo, you can’t beat it!

Jeff is America’s Favorite Houseguest!

Natalie Martinez, probably the most hated houseguest in Big Brother’s 11 season history, will not win Big Brother 11. America cheers!

How, you say, when she’s played such a brilliant manipulative, lying, scheming game, only really requiring her to win one competition so far? You say some might see that as true skill, something that should be honored with the 500K, even if she is destestable.

Here’s the thing. IF she gets to the final two, and let’s say Jordan is there too, Jordan has three votes already locked up. She will have Jeff’s vote, she will have Michele’s vote and she will have Russell’s vote. She may not have the others, but I’m sure she’ll have those. So, at the least it’s a 3-3 vote tie. America breaks the tie. Anyone that can tell me that America would hand the victory to a contestant they’d rather see come that close and lose, well, they’re dreaming.

Now comes the fun part. The jury questions. A few weeks ago Natalie was telling Kevin that once you make up a lie, you have to stick to it no matter what. And she has. Her lies have slowly begun to leak out, both in the jury house with Jessie’s revelation that she is really 24 and also by her own mouth to those still in the Big Brother house. Surely she will be confronted with those lies at the jury questioning. And when confronted, I highly anticipate her STILL sticking to the lies to the very end, adament that she wasn’t lying.

The jury will give her a chance to own up to them, even if nothing else to say that it was her strategy, her gameplay. But this is where Natalie is no Will. Will came in saying he was going to lie and people still didn’t evict him. But because he owned up to it, he was handed the victory in the second season and had Erika and Janelle not shared stories, he very well could have won All Stars. Natalie’s not going to own up to it. And that’s where she’s going to lose the game at.

Because she won’t own up to her lies, because she won’t admit to it, I doubt she’ll get more than a couple votes from the jury, if that. If Jordan is at the end, congrats Jordan, you are the winner of Big Brother 11. If it’s Kevin, congrats Kevin, then you’re the winner. But Natalie? Nope, not going to happen. And that’s going to ease the pain of losing Jeff from the game for this author a bit.

With the veto competition over this week, and Kevin’s the winner (and if you’re reading this then obviously you know we have spoilers) it comes down to either Jordan or Michele being evicted Tuesday.

Kevin now has that choice and could potentially guarantee himself final two, but at this point, he would have to actually play for himself. Question is, will he? (And don’t get me wrong, my personal opinion is that I want Jordan to stay because I’ve been a JeJo fan from the start and am still heartbroken over Jeff leaving BUT read on for why he should evict her should he want a 100% guaranteed chance to get to final 2.)

Natalie hates Michele. Michele hates Natalie. Neither one wants to see the other at the end of this game, or rather, get to the end of the game. IF they’re both in the final three, and one of them wins, they’re evicting the other. If I’m wrong, I’ll shave my head and put the webcast up here.

If Kevin were to keep Michele, having the sole vote to evict this week, he would thusly have a guaranteed spot in final two. Why? Because even though Natalie would be upset, her hatred of Michele would supercede that. And the reason for her hatred? She believes Michele is the reason Chima left, that it’s Michele’s fault. And I didn’t know Michele wielded the power to magically cause Chima to throw her mike pack into the hottub, repeatedly break the rules and get herself thrown out, way to go Michele!

So, he keeps Michele. Michele wins final three HOH. Michele evicts Natalie. Michele vs. Kevin in final two. Natalie wins final three HOH. Natalie evicts Michele. Kevin in final two.

The ONLY reason Natalie wants Michele out now is because she knows that Michele won’t take her to the end. If Jordan were to pull a miraculous win out of her ass, she would evict Kevin at the end, if nothing else than to make Jeff happy by sending his backstabber to jury. Natalie is playing for herself and yet Kevin still chooses to side with her. Natalie has it pretty much set up to get to final two, Kevin doesn’t.

So why is he siding with her? Is he playing for himself, or is he playing for Natalie?

“Big Brother” host Julie Chen never misses a chance to tell viewers (and contestants) to “expect the unexpected” when it comes to the CBS reality show.

This season, she really meant it.

The past two weeks of “Big Bro” have been among the most tense, action-packed and unpredictable in the history of the decade-old format. Critics who still think the show is about as exciting as watching paint dry (that would be season one, though even that year had its charms) don’t know what they’re missing.

We’ve seen power in the house shift dramatically — from being overwhelmingly in the hands of an alliance of contestants most viewers would likely label “the meanies,” to  being fully in the grasp of a rival coalition (let’s call ‘em “the naive but nice”).

A returning contestant named Jessie went from being within weeks of pulling off a stunning victory, to being the first to go. One of the strongest female players in the game’s history, a feisty pa named Chima, self-destructed and became one of the few players ever to be ejected from the game (though she still somehow insists she chose to quit).

In the middle of all the drama, as always, are executive producers Allison Grodner, Rich Meehan and Scott Einziger. We’ve been talking to Grodner every Thursday after the eviction show, and she kept her promise to talk to us tonight– despite all the recent hubbub.

Here’s an edited version of what she had to say this week.

Two caveats: Grodner wouldn’t talk about who won tonight’s head of household competition (though any “Big Bro” fan worth his or her salt has already checked the Net to find out who won). And, after writing up this interview, we realized we forgot to ask Grodner a very key question: Will America end up the seventh member of the jury?

Knowing Grodner, she probably wouldn’t have spilled.

So… Chima. What happened?

What we said on the show is what happened. You come on the show, you agree to  play by the rules. And putting on the microphone is a crucial part of the show. We need to hear (players) in order to do the show. And a big rule is ‘do not destroy equipment.’

Chima, of course, claims she quit– even though she certainly didn’t look like she was quitting when she went into the diary room.

When people are escorted out of the Big Brother house, they’re out of the game. Once you’ve been exposed (to the behind the scenes operation), the game is over.

(Grodner notes the only exception to this came in season nine when medical emergencies forced evacuation of two players).

How tough was the decision to end Chima’s game?

It was not an easy call to make. We want everyone to go out the front door, not the side door. It was serious. It was made with a heavy heart. I wish her well. She’s an intelligent, lovely person. I know (some fans) beg to differ, but….

You had a cameo in Tuesday’s show.

(Laughs) I don’t particularly like to be a part of the sho. I like to keep the producers away from the show as much as possible… but there was no choice. In a way, it was incredible to break the fourth wall.

Chima has been vocal on Twitter. Is this really Chima tweeting.

Yeah. They sign contracts with us where they need to discuss press with CBS. (CBS Media Relations) is aware of what she’s releasing. She seems to be playing by the rules…outside of the house.

Natalie and Chima and others really seemed to have a problem with the Coup d’Etat.

It’s the sore loser thing. The test of character on the show is how you deal with things when you’re down and out…. If they had had the power, they would have used it.

They couldn’t have been surprised. Plus, you warned them something big was happening….

There were many people (in the house) who had seen ‘Big Brother’ and had a sense the mystery power was the Coup d’Etat. It would have been easy for anyone to plan strategically for its use. (The complaining) is bewildering to all of us given the amount of warning they had.

So Lydia was voted out this week. Jeff and Jordan came close to backdooring Russell or Michelle due to Kevin’s little lie. And Natalie survived!

Kevin has been in the shadows but he really stepped up tonight, along with Natalie. The lie they told tonight is partially true…. Russell considers himself even with Jeff.

(As for Natalie), she was so convincing with her lying. On Sunday’s show you’ll see where she strikes a deal with Jeff and Jordan. Natalie is playing the game. She was in Jessie’s shadow. But she’s a thinker. And she’s certainly a liar.

What about her big lie — namely, claiming she’s just 18, when she’s really much older? The HGs seem clueless. Don’t they wonder why the producers don’t object when she drinks alcohol?

And she’s also talked about going to casinos! We’ve told Natalie we can’t be a part of her lie. So if any contestants asked us about it in the DR, we would just say, “If there was illegal activity going on, we wouldn’t allow it.”

But nobody’s asked?

Nope.

Today, or late late last night should I say, started out pretty mellow.  Late last night, there was really nothing to report.  Everyone seemed to either be sleeping, or getting along.  A lot of chit chat about this or that, but nothing of importance (unless of course you think Lydia and Kevin wanting to have sex with Jessie important of course.)  Blech.  Try transcribing that conversation!  Gave me nightmares!

ANYWAY… on to today.  So the house wakes up, and starts their daily routine as usual, with a more angry Braden than the night before.  Yes, he was complaining last night how Lydia, a girl he thought he was friends with, a girl he comforted when she got put up, a girl he let cry on his shoulder, a girl who he talked about hanging out with after… lied, backstabbed and messed up all of their games.  (Their being Braden, Jeff and Jordan… you know, the ones she was supposed to be aligned with.)

Well, he was even more upset this morning.  He was rumbling for awhile, mentioning to others about Lydia’s lying and backstabbing ways… he was a Braden Volcano ready to blow, and blow he did.

Lydia and Kevin were sitting in the shade against a wall in the backyard, Lydia giving a sob story about a previous love she lost, and just how horrible it was… when here comes Braden…  Braden puts a towel down next to them, and sits right down.  He says “I just wanted to say that the way you sold me out to your guys, it’s fine.  But I knew way before everything happened that I was going up and you had said something.  Everyone knew before, this was coming.  So don’t let it be such a big surprise when you go up the next week or the next week after, and that you won’t make past to the jury round.  It’s just sad.”…  And that was it….

Lydia then exploded into “Oh ok cause I nominated for you to go yeah, that was me, that was my grand scheme.”

Braden then says it was and maybe you should get that tatooed on your leg that “I got evicted from the Big Brother House because I backstabbed people that had your back”

The whole time, Lydia is interupting with Yeah, yeah whatever yeah 100% right there dude… etc. etc.

Braden saying he has not lied, always stayed true to his word, and will go home happy and blessed.  Lydia keeps up with the yeah yeah awesome awesome.  He keeps going… thanking them for all the great times and for relating with him so well, and then thanks Kevin for the same.  Lydia tells him not to attack Kevin.  Braden says he was thanking Kevin, never attacked Kevin.  She is basically threatening him, hand movements slicing her throat.. Don’t attack Kevin.  Do not say shit to Kevin right now.

Braden says what are you talking about.  I was being sincere to him, not you.  Lydia keeps going on saying he is awesome, great, yeah, she is a bitch, (and worse words that Braden never used)  Braden says, so, get another tattoo, you can put Braden on your ass (all the while she continues with yeah, awesome, yeah, awesome)

Then Kevin pipes up…  Just so you know, I was the one that suggested you go up.  (Which is not true… that was a convo between Nat, Jessie and Lydia without Kev present a couple of nights ago) so Braden says good, then you can get a Braden tattoo on your cock.

Kevin then gets up, and starts attacking Braden, saying he is an asshole, he is so full of shit etc. etc.  Braden says he has been nothing but real, and tells Kevin to go stick a banana up his ass.  Kevin keeps going with “You’re an asshole, you’re so full of shit, you fucked everyone you know”… Braden then proceeds to call Kevin a beaner.  (Yeah, you heard me right)… Kevin continues… WTF Braden, you don’t even know what nationality I am asshole… and Braden says I don’t care, I am white and American, wtf are you?  Lydia then gets up, screaming her fuck yous and leaves the yard.  Kevin calls Braden racist over and over… saying you don’t even know anything about me… you never even talked to me… which Braden says isn’t true, that they talked about their anniversary and such.

Lydia comes back out screaming that Braden needs to get the F out of her room, that she is going to move his stuff.  Braden saying don’t touch my stuff.  Kevin saying Lydia had NOTHING to do with you going up, they came and asked me… Braden saying really?  Then why did Russell say that?

Jeff pipes in, let’s not be derogatory here y’all… and Kevin gets mad at Jeff, saying I didn’t say anything!  Jeff says no, I was talking to Braden, it was wrong what Braden said.  He shouldn’t have said that.  Kevin, still thinking that Jeff is protecting Braden, is basically jumping up and down in the yard saying he didn’t say anything, that Braden called him an MF beaner!  He tells Braden that he is the running joke of the house… that everyone just laughs at his stupidity… Lydia and Kevin then go in the house, and start telling everyone the stuff Braden said, with Kevin still saying he called me a beaner!

Braden in the BY, saying I was sitting there talking to her, not raising my voice, just having a conversation, and she started yelling at me…   Inside, they are going on about the story, telling them the beaner comment, the tattoo comment etc.  Switch to… Lydia in the spa room, now yelling at Jordan about it all, yelling that Jordan isn’t talking to her anymore.  Then Kevin attacks Jeff, saying he is chilling with a bigot, and how that makes him a bigot.

Things begin to mellow, with Braden saying he isn’t racist, that he just said it get a rise basically (well that worked) – Jeff then asked Lydia why she went and attacked Jordan… well, here we go again.  Lydia starts screaming her fuck you’s again, mentions the whole Tuna story (long tuna story short, Jeff, before noms, went and asked him team upstairs if they wanted tuna he made, they declined and said stay, we are talking about who to put up, he said no, just made all this tuna and it will be gone, let’s talk later.  Lydia blames him for not hanging around instead of eating tuna is the reason she was put up.)  So she yells awhile, and runs to the HOH room to be left alone.

Ok really, all that was hard to type.  It ended just like it started.  All of a sudden.  Everyone was pretty much mellow and boring for the rest of the day.  Jeff has been asking all day though if it’s ok if he does things LOL.  Kind of funny… asking if he can go in the pool, cause he doesn’t want to find out later that he is an asshole for going in the pool on Monday… stuff like that.

Alas… it’s currently 11:07 pm Big Brother time, and all are hanging out and getting along.  Back to the norm, Lydia flirting endlessly with Jessie.  All others hanging out in the kitchen and BY chatting…  Just another day in the Big Brother House.
