“Be careful what you wish for” is the message actor Jorge Garcia posted on his blog “When Will People Learn?” after a fluke in the Mega Millions lottery made more than 9,000 people $150 richer the other day. The winning numbers drawn were 4,8,15, 25, 47 and 42. For those of you that watched LOST, you know that the “cursed” winning lottery numbers for Garcia’s character, Hurley, were 4,8,15,16,23 and 42. Since those numbers were first revealed on the show, fans of LOST have played them in various lotteries but none have ever come this close to being actual winning numbers until this past Tuesday.

Garcia also wrote, “the numbers are bad!” on his blog and the post continues with “Enjoy your” along with a picture of a $100 bill and a $50 bill with the word “cursed” stamped over them. Hmmmm, guess it’s a good thing I forgot to buy my usual “when the jackpot gets insanely high I’ll get a ticket” with my usual LOST numbers. That $150 would’ve been nice though! From one island to another, Jorge Garcia (LOST) is following JJ Abrams to another island mystery, this time centered on the historic San Francisco slammer. No real details of the Fox show, appropriately titled Alcatraz, have been released, but Garcia will play an Alcatraz expert in the pilot, which will apparently follow prisoners and guards in the present day. In true Abrams style, the show will likely have some underlying mystery, but we’re only speculating at this point. Excited to see Jorge back on TV? Just months after TV lost it’s big island mystery, the first and fully licensed comprehensive reference for ALL things LOST is being released. With more than 400 pages and over 1500 images, the LOST Encyclopedia is sure to be a must-have for all huge fans. The encyclopedia will serve as a guide to the characters, locations, island history, relationships, plots, and mythologies from the show’s six seasons. From the small screen to the big screen, Josh Holloway is officially confirmed for his first post-Lost role. And it’s huge. Looks like surviving the smoke monster and the island wasn’t impossible enough for him. Holloway will be joining the Impossible Mission Force spear-headed by Tom Cruise himself. Produced by J.J. Abrams, Mission: Impossible 4 is bound to be another hit movie to the franchise. No details about Holloway’s role have been given, but it is confirmed that he will definitely be in the mix. Release is slated for December 2011 and production is now scouting sites in Vancouver, Dubai, and Prague for filming. M:I-4 will also star Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker and The Town), Paula Patton (Precious), Vladamir Mashkov (Behind Enemy Lines), and vets Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg.

Hello everyone to yet another edition of Let’s Yakkity Yak! How is everyones’ week going? Hopefully as good as mine, but remember, since no one’s found the asshat picture none of you are going to be as good as me! So let’s get down to it. But remember, if you want to talk about it, you should join us here in our forums!

A new study out shows that many parents do not believe that their kids are interested in sex, but also believe that everyone elses’ kids are.  Apparently they have a very hard time thinking about their teenagers knocking boots but see their peer group as highly sexual and sexually predatory. But according to the CDC, via an article on MSN, there were over 400 thousand births to teens aged 15 to 19 in 2006 and this is the bigger one for me, over 6 thousand for kids aged 10 to 14! And I so agree with the CDC’s next point; by viewing their kids as being holy and pure, they’re shifting the responsibility for any potential activity to others. True dat! Let me clue you in, oh disillusioned parents, your kids if not screwing already, are definitely thinking about it. THEY ARE. By denying in your own mind that they have any interest in sex, you are leading them to even more risk because they will not be educated on how to protect themselves. Yes, they’re your baby and you don’t want to think about them doing the deed but if they want to do it, they’re going to find a way and wouldn’t you want them to be educated on the subject and have means to protect themselves? Or would you rather go on denying it and then end up on Dr. Phil blaming someone else when they’re either pregnant, got someone else pregnant, or they have an STD or AIDS? Up to you, but personally I’d rather have my children protected.

So, everyone knows you don’t mess with Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates trilogy. But muggers beware! Don’t try to mug Johnny Depp or mug a friend of his either because he will step in. Depp was in LA recently with a friend and saw they were getting mugged, so he umped into the gight. The mugger had a broken bottle and approached Depp’s friend, British singer Stephen Jones demanding money. When Depp stepped in the mugger literally said “I ain’t stealing from Captain Jack.” Tehn the mugger dropped the weapon and, get this, Depp gave him some money and told him to straighten up his life. So know this, mess with a friend of Captain Jack and you mess with Jack himself! Good job Johnny!

So, do you get LOST every week like I do? Are you as disillusioned as I am by now? Probably not considering I’ve been on a hatefest with the powers that be since they killed off my Charlie BUT I will say this. If you miss tonight’s episode, YOU WILL MISS ONE MAJOR DEATH. Yeah, I just tipped that BUT I won’t reveal who it is. Yup, I know who it is. And I am shocked by it, well maybe not as much as I would’ve been had this not been the last season, but I’m still shocked because I considered this person one of the powers that be’s untouchables. This episode and the next will require a BIG box of Kleenex and fresh underwear because you will bawl and you will shit your shorts too. I never thought something like this would happen on LOST, but since it’s the last season, it’s happening.

Hey, anyone remember LC’s long ago love Jason Wahler from The Hills?Homeboy done MESSED UP, as he’s headed to the slammer for one misdemeanor count of driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher. In exchange for this guilty plea prosecutors dropped another dharge of driving under the influence but Wahler will have to do time for what he did plead guilty to. That being siad, he gets a grand total of two whole days in jail, three years probation and three months in a program, as well as paying fines. Yeah, two whole days, just enough time to shake the latest hangover and gear up for more boozing! This whole drama started on March 19^thwhen he was in Newport Beach, just after he spent time in a Mexican prison for fighting at a nightclub. Way to go Wahler, six drinking related arrests, you going for a record buddy? Dumbass.

A 73 year old granny from Largo, Fla was charged with domestic battery after slapping her 17 year old granddaughter who had cursed at her. Apparently last Tuesday the granddaughter had stopped by to use granny’s computer, and get this, biznatch has to finish her senior year online because she got kkicked out of a Catholic school for cursing a nun. The grandmother reports that this lovely young woman and a paradigm of charm and grace kept telling her grandma to “f” off and using the same word about other family members. Granny, rightfully so, got tired of hearing it, so she got up and smacked her. I would’ve too! Then the girl grabs her grandma’s wrists so she can’t move but according to the police also asked that her grandmother not be arrested. Probably because she saw a meal ticket headed to the pokey. Alright, here’s my opinion. It has gotten WAY too easy on kids these days. In my day, had I used the “f” bomb I wouldn’t have remembered what happened after that, I would’ve had the shit beaten out of me. Kids get away with WAY too much these days because they know they can cry child abuse or whatnot and the parents will be in a crapstorm. And the disrespect has gotten out of hand as well, you don’t curse your freaking grandmother for christ’s sake! Grow up little girl, talk to the wrong person like that and you’re going to find yourself in a LOT more trouble than a smack from granny.

As one of THE biggest Charlie from LOST fans, and a HUGE fan of Dominic Monaghan, I got VERY excited when I saw a certain ABC promo with him in it. (Those promos of late are FANTASTIC!). Made me hope against hope that somehow, some way, my Charlie was going to be brought back to the island (and with recent news that Emilie De Ravin WILL be a series regular again during the final season of LOST, what a treat that would’ve been!).

However, earlier this evening, Kristin, from E!, informed us all that he’s set to appear in another ABC series this fall, the name of which has not been revealed, due to ABC brass wanting to keep us all in suspense thinking Charlie would be coming back. And honestly ABC bigwigs, that’s just freaking MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN. First, you take him from us, then you want us to think he’s coming back and then at the last minute, what, you say “PSYCH!”?!? Whoever thought up that brilliant idea must’ve had fun gluing his/her drunk buddies faces to the carpet in college too.

Take heart though Dom fans, he WILL be appearing as a series regular in another ABC drama come this fall, so we will finally be treated once again to weekly doses of this fine actors skills. Can’t wait to see you on TV again Dom!

The end is near, yet again, and another season of LOST is about to draw to a close. Nine long months of speculation and waiting for the last season. But with the end of the season the everso predictable bloodlust of Darlton has sprung it’s ugly head, as it does at the close of every season. What is it with this death hunger they feel the need to feed? They already took Faraday from us, why have another beloved character enter the LOST graveyard as well? At one point they explained that it would be unbelievable to have a show like LOST with NO deaths but dear god in heaven, when is enough enough?

Here are the facts, or rather, fact. A major, much beloved character WILL die in the Season Five finale, they’ve already told us this. And from what I’ve read on various spoiler sites, the impact it will leave on most fans emotionally will be right up there with the gut-wrenching emotions a lot of fans had when Charlie (still miss and adore you Dom!) died at the end of Season 3. So I thought I’d take a moment and analyze each major character’s likelihood of meeting the Grim Reaper on tomorrow night’s episode.

Jack – Not going to happen. Kristin from E! has already stated that he does NOT die in the finale. Despite misguided attempts by some on the internet to twist that by saying she said this to throw us off track and that she really wouldn’t spoil it if he did die, Jack’s not going anywhere. If she KNEW he WAS going to die, she wouldn’t say a word about it except to tease us and I could easily see her saying, “You’d NEVER think this death would’ve occured!”

Kate – I swear, this chick has nine lives when it comes to this show so unless Evangeline Lily does something majorly horrible, like drive a Humvee into a schoolbus full of kids or tear into a convent with an AK47 and massacre nuns, my bet is she lives to see the end of the series; Kate, that is. She’s Darlton’s lovechild, along with Jack.

Locke – DOUBTFUL. HIGHLY doubtful. He’s another lovechild of Darlton and it would leave SO much  out there hanging in the air. If John Locke is killed tomorrow night, come back here on Thursday and I’ll do a videocam of myself eating my socks. Same goes for Kate and Jack.

Sayid – See what I wrote for Jack, but to make it pretty I’ll put it here. Kristin from E! has already stated that he does NOT die in the finale. Despite misguided attempts by some on the internet to twist that by saying she said this to throw us off track and that she really wouldn’t spoil it if he did die, Sayid’s not going anywhere. If she KNEW he WAS going to die, she wouldn’t say a word about it except to tease us and I could easily see her saying, “You’d NEVER think this death would’ve occured!” Yes, he DOES get injured in the finale, we see that in the latest promo, but he does NOT die. Sorry folks, but too many of you take the obvious and twist it to fit a completely misguided theory. Plus, as much as Kristin sometimes irritates me, she’s not going to risk what she built up by ticking off a bunch of Sayid and Jack fans by telling us they don’t die, only to have one or both of them die.

Juliet – You would think so, but it’s pretty much been confirmed that Elizabeth Mitchell will be back next season, so unless Darlton goes soap opera on us and produces a miraculous Juliet twin, Juliet’s not dying.

Sawyer – At risk. I’d hate to see this one happen, but it hasn’t been confirmed or disputed greatly on any site on the internet that has spoilers. Again, I’d hate it, but I could see him going out some way heroically. However, would it have the same emotional impact as the next person on the list? Not really. Sawyer’s a polarizing character, you either love him or you don’t. He’s not a universally loved character.

Hurley – HIGH risk. He’s universally loved by the high majority of fans, his story has pretty much run it’s course, there’s nothing that can absolutely confirm him being there next season and his death would tear at the hearts of most, the way Charlie’s impacted his fans. Plus, before pulling the info (probably from fear that it revealed the obvious) Kristin also stated that the major character that died is a polar opposite of Charlie in one major way. Well Charlie was a shorter skinny fellow. Hurley’s a taller larger fellow. Plus, this death would suck the MOST and Darlton seems to love to take the ones we love the most while leaving the ones that drive us nuts.

Jin – Doubtful. Plus it would be incredibly cruel to do. There’s been no strong indicators either way and although it woudl be heartbreaking to see, I just don’t find any imperical evidence to show he’s at risk.

Sun – Exactly what I wrote for Jin, read that and that’s why she’s doubtful to die.

Phil – Or, as I like to call him, that Bushy Eyebrowed Jerk That Likes To Hit Women Who Are Tied Up Punk Boy….yeah, he’s toast. Sawyer’s going to exact revenge on this wienie, without a doubt. He’s off to redshirtville, but obviously not the major character death.

Miles – SERIOUSLY doubt it. No real emotional impact by his death and at this point his story isn’t really resolved so there’d be no point, other than to satisfy that damn bloodlust.

Radzinsky – Unfortunately not. This poster boy for spazdom does the world a favor and offs himself later. May the punk rot.

Vincent – If those punks take this dog from us then they’re just awful and even though I’m no fan of PETA, I SO will sic PETA on Darlton’s ass. But I doubt this is the death.

Ben – If you can seriously tell me that Ben’s death woudl ahve the same type of emotional impact as Charlie’s and I’ll show you how I grow magical flowers that speak German out of my nostrils. Plus, he’s got SO much more left to do on this show and although the promos profess him to making a “major sacrifice”, somehow I doubt it’s his life.

Jacob – Now that would be nice because I’m honestly sick of peole blindly following the ordersof a man who’s too much of a punk to even show himself. I agree with Locke on this, why would people so blindlfy follow a leader who doesn’t have the chops to reveal himself? But as to emotional impact, it wouldn’t be sadness so I doubt he’s dying.

Rose and/or Bernard – What are two ways to tick off a legion of LOST fans? Make two beloved characters not be in the high majority of episodes in a season, then bring them back only to kill one/both of them. The impact emotionally would be high, I give you that, butg again unless  someone’s trying to drop a HUGE shocking bomb (no pun intended) on us, I don’t think this happens and I pray it doesn’t as well.

Frank – Would anyone seriously miss him? I like the guy, he’s funny, but I wouldn’t be upset like I was when Charlie died. So either I don’t see Frank as dying or I don’t see TPTB counting him as a major death.

Claire – Now this gets interesting. We’ve seen her in the shadows in a couple of episodes and she’s already presumed to be off in dead LaLa land with her dead LaLa land daddy. But is she really “dead” already? Or has she been Jack Nicholsoned from One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, sent off to a proverbial LOST lobotomy land? Is she suddenly going to spring into action, into life and appear again, only to be killed again? I really doubt it, but it would be a horrible thing to do, would be emotional, especially heartbreaking for all us Charlie fans who hang on to the hope that his death won’t be entirely in vain.

So, basically the two I think are most at risk, unfortunatley, are Sawyer and Hurley. I do belive that in just over 24 hours one of these two men will no longer be alive on ABC’s LOST. The only others I think are at even slight risk are Claire, Rose and/or Bernard. Phil’s goose is cooked and rightly so.
