It hasn’t been the best kept secret, as in previous years, but the halftime entertainment for Superbowl XLVI has been confirmed tonight by NBC. During the Sunday Night Football telecast between the New Orleans Saints and the Detroit Lions, the NFL announced that Michigan native Madonna will be entertaining millions of viewers in Indianapolis on Feb. 5. Madonna will collaborate with a team from Cirque du Soleil for her performance that will hopefully be wardrobe malfunction-free.
Madonna is currently working on her next project, an album set to be released in 2012. Madonna’s halftime show will follow last year’s energy-powered performance by the Black Eyed Peas.
