Before Season 4 of The Voice even gets underway, NBC has outlined a few new plans in the show’s schedule for the upcoming season that premieres Monday March 25 at 8/7c. After the Blind Auditions conclude, NBC plans to expand the show’s most recent & well received change – The Knockout Rounds & the Live Playoffs.
On Tuesday April 30 and May 7, The Voice will air expanded two-hour episodes at 8/7c. But that’s not even where the real competition might lie. NBC has also added a special one-hour telecast on Tuesday May 8 when the show’s Top 12 will be announced LIVE. Also airing May 8 over on another network, is the Top 3 Performance show for Fox’s juggernaut, American Idol.
Last fall, The Voice went up against The X Factor with a similar schedule change and easily romped Cowell’s singing competition. Will the outcome be the same this Spring or will Fox’s long-standing hit competition hold its ground?
NBC’s The Voice kicks off next week on March 25 at 8/7c with new coaches Shakira and Usher joining Adam & Blake.
