The start of the Fall season just wasn’t enough for NBC, they’ve decided to adjust their schedule during Election week, pitting The Voice up again The X Factor TWICE. As you recall, Simon Cowell was none too pleased when The Voice aired a special Blind Audition episode the night The X Factor premiered, prompting Cowell to call our Voice producer Mark Burnett on being unprofessional. With the elections around the corner, coverage is sure to dominate the airwaves Tuesday November 6, a night The Voice calls home.
As the live shows for The Voice AND The X Factor are just weeks away, the competition is just heating up. So here’s how it’ll work. The X Factor kicks off their LIVE shows on November 1 (8-10pm ET), airing a special LIVE results episode on Sunday November 4th (8-10pm ET), as well. The Voice kicks off their LIVE shows on November 5th (8-10pm ET), it’s usual scheduled slot. As America votes and decides who moves on in the competition, NBC has decided that they will air special LIVE episodes on Wednesday November 7th (8-10pm ET) and Thursday November 8th (8-9pm ET), pitting the hit singing competition against Cowell’s child. NBC will use this tactic to offset Election coverage on Tuesday November 6th.
What do you guys think about this move? Are you excited for the LIVE shows to kick off once and for all? Let us know!
