‘The X-Factor’ Brings Bieber and a Jonas as Mentors

As “The Voice” does with it’s Battle Rounds, “The X Factor” does with it’s post-audition rounds at the judges houses. Mentors. With Britney Spears and Demi Levato joining Simon Cowell and LA Reid as judges on the upcoming second season of the Fox reality show, ratings are expected to be better than last year’s lackluster fan support after the pre-show hype.

This season, LA Reid has taken on the “Over 25″ group, while Cowell has tackled Paula Abdul’s ill-fated “Groups” bunch. Demi Levato will take on the “12-16″ group, and Spears will tackle the “17-24″ group.

As the contestants who passed the auditions make it to the judges houses for further prep before the live shows, the judges bring on current stars in the industry to help out. This year, LA Reid brought along the Biebs for a visit to mentor the “Over 25′s.” Not quite the artist I would have picked for that age range, but I’m not judging, right? Demi Levato brought on fellow Disney Channel star Nick Jonas, where they will film their segment this week. No word yet on who will sit alongside Britney Spears or Simon Cowell, however, Britney does have a new single coming out with Will.i.Am, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if he’s making a visit to her house for the 17-24 age range.
