At a press conference earlier Monday evening, Simon Cowell, joined by fellow judges Demi Levato, Britney Spears, and departing LA Reid, announced who the contestants would duet with on Wednesday night’s performance finale. The X Factor is seemingly going country heavy for the finale, as well as including the only neutral judge – Levato. With Fifth Harmony singing two Levato songs this season, it only seems fitting that the judge join the girl group on stage.
Tate Stevens, from Reid’s group, reportedly requested Garth Brooks – only to be told it was “not an option” – and wound up with surging country group Little Big Town. Finally, Britney’s Carly Rose will be singing a duet with Leann Rimes, even though she hasn’t done a country tune all season.
In addition, One Direction (of course) and Pitbull have been added to the lineup for Thursday’s results show. Taylor Swift is reportedly joining Harry Styles of 1D but is not scheduled to perform on the finale. Who are you most excited to see?
