In a TV season with not much really gaining that much steam, steady is the new fad. Thanks to being steady, NBC has picked up a full-season order for three of it’s freshman programs. The much hyped The Event will see a full season order to get its story in the minds of most of America. Since SVU cannot be the only Law and Order on and NBC schedule, the network has also picked up Law & Order: Los Angeles for a full season. In a more surprising move, Outsourced has been given the green light, as well. It seems as if the “stereotype” drama behind the scenes has died down for now. NBC president Angela Bromstad had this to say earlier today. “We are pleased with the quality of The Event, Law & Order: Los Angeles and Outsourced, and feel they are an important part of helping to re-build our schedule and our studio pipeline. We believe in these new series and the creative auspices behind them.”
Also on the verge of a full-season pickup is Chuck. No word yet, but it seems the deal is close. No word yet on freshman dramas Undercovers and Chase. What do you think about these pickups? Excited? Surprised? Disappointed? Let us know below or join us in our FORUMS.
