Two Girls Gone and Live Bees?! ANTM

Okay, so before we get into anything, lets talk about Alex. Alex is the nickname I have given Alexandria, and can I just say, she has been dubbed the house b*tch. She is so self-entitled, the way she was trying to teach Jaclyn how to walk, and this last episode where she was trying to pump up Nicole and telling her to act like she belongs here. I mean, that sounds nice but the way she said it was not actually nice. She acts like she owns the place, and doesn’t need to improve at all. Its ridiculous. Then there was the chicken incident, apparently Alex left some raw chicken in a cereal bowl in the fridge which Monique and Dayla found and were disgusted with. Alex was called out about it and was totally insulted and offended, telling everyone she doesn’t need to be told how to deal with chicken. Dayla and Alex were the most miffed, and Jac (Jaclyn) was so cute. She said she was scared of Alex, and that she was just going to keep her mouth shut and stay out of it. Dayla thought Alex was acting so superior, and Alex said that she pities Dayla and that she is not going to get any sympathy from her, she’s not going to be nice anymore. Alex thinks Dayla didn’t know what she was doing during the photoshoot and that she hopes she goes home. I was just like, okay whatever, you’re pretty but with your attitude you should be going home soon.

I have to mention before I go into anything else, the really cool exercise/challenge they did this episode. They went to a theater with one of Hollywood’s leading acting coaches (whose name escapes me completely) , and Nigel, for a performing challenge that would help them convince the photographer they are inspiring. It was an exercise to build an intimate relationship with the camera by confronting their inner critic. The coach said that modeling is about having the courage to get into conflict, they were told to draw their inner critic in ten minutes and then the coach played the part while they were suppose to convince their inner critic to go away. Nigel told the girls that going through all of this exposes who they really are and that their humanity makes them beautiful and if the camera can capture that then they aren’t just another model or just a pretty face. That when they have a story to tell that makes you special and all the more beautiful. It was just a great exercise and it really seemed to help a few girls. They each got a pair of gorgeous earrings for participating too, but it was really deep.

The next thing I wanna shout out about is Ondrei, this poor girl, losing her brothers and trying to deal with it while being on America’s Next Top Model. That is too much stress for one girl, and Dominique and Dayla seeming like they were concerned, maybe Dayla was but Dominique seemed like she was just criticizing her. Ondrei didn’t expect to go so deep in her emotions when she did the critic challenge, she was yelling at her inner critic asking why did have to go through these nightmares because of her inner critic. The next day wasn’t so great for her either, opening up really took a tole on her. She talked to her boyfriend and I was happy when he told her that they would stand behind whatever decision she made, whether to stay or to come home. She said she was just so overwhelmed and stressed, during the photoshoot she was very disappointing, and she couldn’t drop the wall, she fell flat. She was the first to be called up at panel and she told Tyra that she wanted to be here but she felt like she was not ready to be here. She was blessed and thankful but she didn’t feel right being here and she asked to go home. I felt so bad for her. Her picture was so not the worst, though, which is why another person went home as well.

Oh, but before we talk about panel and how awful some picture were, can you believe they used live bees in this week’s photoshoot? I would have freaked, but the photographer, Mike Rosenthal, told the girls to be all about the shoot and not about what’s going on around them. The girls were modeling jewelry covered in pheromones to attract the bees, and Mister Jay told them to trust their photographer. Jac told us she was allergic to bees, but that she was more nervous about taking a good picture, can I just say that she is adorable. Completely adorable. They put cotton in the girls ears and nose to keep the bees from flying into their bodies, but they kept hanging out in their shirts and in their hair. Mister Jay thought Sara was boring and honestly I’m starting to think that too, but its only the second episode so can’t go chopping anybody’s head off that hasn’t had a lot of air time. Hannah, my dear Hannah, she started to compare herself to the other girls and even though she realized it was destructive she couldn’t stop. When she got up to the shoot she started to cry but her tears looked beautiful in the shots, and Jay was delighted. Now we can get on to the panel and everyone’s photo because they were some major, major flops in my opinion.

One picture that I thought was just totally horrible was Dominique’s, but the judges thought it was elegant. I thought it was a train-wreck disaster, it looked like a big mess. Three pictures that I thought looked gorgeous were Molly’s, Monique’s, and Hannah’s. Molly I love for her photos and her beauty, but Hannah I love for everything about her. Her pictures are wonderful and her personality is likeable. Monique is like the pretty queen bee in high school, and kinda reminds me of Megan Fox-not a good thing. Britanni is also taking wonderful pictures, even if the judges think it wasn’t great, I really liked her picture. I was so scared for Nicole, because Tara told her last week that she looked older in her pictures and this week it happened again. The poor girl, she definitely had to go home. It was good that she was sent home, her pictures were really not up to par with the rest of the group. We’ve seen two girls go home before so thats not surprising to me, but the way Ondrei left was so sad, because she seemed like she had a lot of potential, this was just a bad time in life for her. Another pretty picture was Mikaela’s, she had beautiful and intricate lines on her face and her photo just oozed power for me. I really think Dominique needs to go home though, her freckles are extremely unique but her photo was not enjoyable or appealing at all.

I was soo happy Hannah got best photo, she was absolutely stunning and I completely agree with the judges that Ondrei’s photo was not the worst. What the makeup artist did with her eyebrows in her photo was very creative and pretty. I really agree that Hannah created magic, and wonder with her photo though, but Tyra is right, unless its for the art we don’t want to see any more tears! Britanni was runner up for best photo which I think she absolutely deserved. She is the one to beat in this competition so far, she nailed the bubble walk and her photos are attracting loads of positive feedback. I don’t know if Dayla belonged in the bottom two because there were quite a few people that were blah this week but Nicole absolutely deserved to go home. She was not present, not for me, her photos were appealing but Tyra was right that she looked much older. Plus her personality didn’t pop at all, she was not a stand out person, not a top model at all. All I can say, is that I have definitely picked my favorite to win already and that is Hannah.

People, people, people, next week is makeovers. I’m excited, bouncing off the walls ready to see how Tyra chooses to change these lovely ladies. And the preview showed some major drama going down between our house b*tch, Alex, and lovely airhead Monique. Can’t wait.
