It looks like changing the format to LIVE with rotating cohosts wasn’t enough to save Anderson Cooper’s talk show, which has been struggling in the ratings. After a fair first season, the decision to go live and add cohosts was in hopes of increasing the show’s appeal to viewers in a very crowded daytime talk show landscape. However, the New York Times is reporting that that wasn’t enough as Warner Bros has decided to ax the show.
The show’s final episode is expected to air in the summer of 2013. Anderson Cooper has released the following statement.
“I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am also grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively. I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it.”
Are you sad to see the show come to an end or did you predict this?
