Will Cougar Town Residents Move To A New Home?

Cougar Town is one of the many fan favorite shows whose fate still remains up in the air, as the networks finalize the 2012-2013 TV season. While ABC has stood behind this show (and it’s fans) for the past three years, the question remains whether this show will see the light of day for a fourth season.

Cougar Town has consistently struggled in ratings, even with the critical acclaim and fan support. Another show in a similar boat is NBC’s Community. And now, reports surface that Cougar Town may receive another lifeline if ABC passes on the sitcom.

Turner Entertainment Networks is reportedly in talks with ABC for a possible relocation of the show to cable hotspot TBS. Headlined by Friends favorite Courtney Cox, Cougar Town‘s most recent episode scored nearly 5 million viewers, landing the show fourth in its timeslot amongst the major network competitors of Glee, The Biggest Loser finale and NCIS.

If this move happens, creator Bill Lawrence won’t be a stranger to new network homes, as Scrubs relocated to ABC after NBC passed on a renewal in 2008. What do you think Cougar Town fans? Good news or bad?
