Will Ferrell to Work for Dunder Mifflin

As Steve Carell’s final day as Office boss nears, NBC is making sure to sandwich that moment with some pretty huge guests. Not only does Ricky Gervais reprise his role as UK Office manage on the hit NBC sitcom tonight, but Will Ferrell is the next to be hired! He will be joining the cast for a multi-episode arc, that will likely extend beyond Carell’s departure. Ferrell is poised to play a branch manager from the home office who is just as politically incorrect and unfiltered as Michael. Showrunner Paul Lieberstein noted, “We are proud to continue The Office’s tradition of discovering famous talent and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they’ll see what we see — tremendous raw sexuality.” As mentioned at least one, if not more, of Ferrell’s episodes will air after Michel leaves The Office, in hopes of bridging the gap between “old” and “new.”
