Now for the midnight hour on the weekends… here is my dream line-up:
Saturday 12:00AM – The Midnight Special. – This show aired on NBC Friday Nights (really Saturday mornings) following The Tonight Show from 1973 – 1981. Every week, viewers were treated to live performances of the biggest Rock and Roll bands of the day. There is nothing that even touches this show today. It’s too bad too, cause it was outstanding.
I would love to have Johnny Carson back on the air in prime time!
