Sunday 12:00AM – The Ed Sullivan Show – Airing on CBS on Sunday’s in Primetime, this was the show of shows. It featured just about every genre of Entertainment, and ran an astounding 23 years from 1948 – 1971. For entertainers, it was the show to aspire to appear. Of course it had it’s huge moments, like The Beatles and Elvis, but Sullivan also presented many ex-vaudeville acts on the show. A humanitarian, Sullivan also used his platform to raise awareness on mental illness, and many advancements can be directly attributed to the publicity he produced.
So there you have it, my dream TV line up. Now, I just need to find my wand, or figure out how to takeover a major network.
