12:00AM – The Carol Burnett Show – Yeah, I said it! This show was funny as heck! The show ran from 1967 – 1978 on CBS. The cast rehearsed the show every day for a few hours until the taping on Friday. During the taping, the cast received two takes if an actor messed up their line or messed up… however, they ONLY had two takes. If the second was still flubbed, it appeared on the show, which helped to endear this show to the audience.
I would love to have Johnny Carson back on the air in prime time!
