10:00PM – The Dick Van Dyke Show – I have to admit, I absolutely love this show. As a kid, my brother and I used to guess whether the star would trip on the ottaman as he came in the door during the intro. To this day, this show can crack me up. It is available for streaming on Netflix and Hulu as well, which is a huge bonus for me. The show originally ran on CBS from 1961 – 1966. The pilot episode actually starred Carl Reiner as Rob Petrie, the creator, and who later became “Alan Brady.” The pilot is also streaming. The show ended on it’s own accord after 5 years.
I would love to have Johnny Carson back on the air in prime time!
