2014 Oscar Nominations: “American Hustle” and “Gravity” Lead The Pack

oscars“12 Years A Slave” garnered just one nomination less than “Gravity” and “American Hustle” who both lead the Oscar nominations with 10 nominations apiece. “Nebraska,” “Dallas Buyers Club” and “Captain Phillips” garnered six nominations each.

Golden Globes Nominations: “House of Cards” & “Candleabra” Lead TV Nominations, Plus Pleasant Surprises

tina-fey-amy-poehlerThe 71st Annual Golden Globe nominations were announced earlier Thursday by the Hollywood Foreign Press. Leading the TV pack are Netflix’s “House of Cards” and HBO’s “Behind the Candleabra” with four nods each. “The Good Wife,” “The White Queen,” “Breaking Bad,” and “Dancing on the Edge” are just behind with three a piece. Freshman comedy “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” snagged a nomination, while Tatiana Maslany’s critically acclaimed performance for “Orphan Black” is finally recognized after the Emmy’s and SAG Awards.

Over on the film side, “12 Years a Slave” and “American Hustle” lead the pack of nominations. The awards will be handed out LIVE, hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, on January 12 at 7/6c on NBC!
