The Return of Jimmy Kimmel Sucks!

The cast of “Monuments Men” is coming to chat with Jimmy Kimmel tonight, including his arch nemesis Matt Damon. It’s sure to be a good time!

If you remember, back in January, 2013, Damon took over Kimmel’s ABC late-night show, temporarily renamed Jimmy Kimmel Sucks!, which was chock full of big stars including Andy Garcia, Sheryl Crow, Ben Affleck, Robin Williams, Nicole Kidman, Gary Oldman, Amy Adams, Reese Witherspoon and Demi Moore. For the whole hour, Kimmel was gagged and tied to a chair.

Damon, making his return tonight with his Monuments Men cast, causes even more tension with the late night host. (Watch the brief preview below.)

According to The Hollywood Reporter: “If that wasn’t enough, Kimmel will do another installment of “Mean Tweets,” this time with a tweet from his own Twitter handle, @jimmykimmel. In the clip, Kimmel bashes Damon, though the Oscar winner has the last laugh (yoga pants!).”

Scheduled to appear tonight with Damon are George Clooney, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Bob Balaban and Cate Blanchett. This episode of Jimmy Kimmel is airing at the same time as Jay Leno’s last show.

Widely Popular Actor, George Clooney, Arrested

Actor George Clooney arrested outside the Embassy of Sudan.
As initially broken via Ann Curry’s Twitter, it has been confirmed that actor George Clooney has indeed been arrested early Friday morning in Washington DC. Curry tweeted: “Under arrest: George Clooney and his father Nick for protesting Sudan’s attacks on its Nuba people. Arrested at Sudan’s embassy in DC.” It is no secret that the politically vocal Hollywood leading man has been leading a campaign against the Sudanese government and to bring peace to the people of Sudan.

A representative for the Oscar winning actor released the following statement: “They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.”

George Clooney Recovers From Malaria

Actor and philanthropist George Clooney has recently contracted and fully recovered from malaria, according to CNN.

According to Piers Morgan of CNN, this is Clooney’s second bout of Malaria and is taking medication but feeling horrible.

Clooney was in Sudan in December to work with Google and the UN to work on installing security to help prevent a new civil war in the troubled country.

“We want to let potential perpetrators of genocide and other war crimes know that we’re watching, the world is watching,” Clooney said in a statement at the time. “War criminals thrive in the dark. It’s a lot harder to commit mass atrocities in the glare of the media spotlight.”
