How TV Ruined Your Life: Aspiration

Making my rounds on the internet this morning and came across a video I haven’t seen before that made me chuckle. Mind you, it’s about a year old, but it’s fun and dare I say it, has a lot of truth to it. If you have the time, grab yourself a drink and cozy in for about 13 minutes. Then let us know your thoughts in the comments.

How TV Ruined Your Life is a six-episode BBC Two television series written and presented by English satirist and broadcaster Charlie Brooker. Yak TV: The Yak Gets His Craft On This Week!

candywreathigJust in time for the Holidays, the Yak decided to get a bit crafty for you this week rather than cook.

Today he has put together an edible candy wreath! Fun to make, and good fun with the family, this wreath is sure to be a hit. It’s cute decor AND the kids (and yourself) can look forward to a handful of candy every day. It can be made with any type of small candies (he used M&Ms in his), but Skittles, Reeses Pieces, etc. will make a lovely wreath! Plus, M&Ms should be out with their red and green candies soon if you prefer. You can even use the York Peppermint Candy Pieces (which are white and blue) to make a cute Hanukkah wreath!

So finish up that Turkey, gather the kids and easily make this fun little holiday treat!

Yak Can Cook: Hummus!

This week, the Yak decided on a very basic and easy Hummus recipe. Now most people will add Olive Oil and other spices which you can too, but this is basically the base. The Yak likes his hummus on the plain side and without the oil (he has to maintain his suave physique you know)… Make some up, grab some Pita Chips and Enjoy!

The Yak was at it again! This time, he decided on Seasoned Baked Potatoes. Forget that old way with tin foil in the oven! Season the skin, make the whole potato WONDERFUL! Now go wash up some russets and get going! Friends and family alike will more than appreciate and it’s SO easy!

So, what are you waiting for? Gonna go make potatoes? Yum! Any recipes or crafts you would like to see the Yak attempt next? Leave us a comment below, and don’t forget to subscribe to us on YouTube!
