Celebrities We’ve Lost

Here we are in May and we’ve already lost too many celebrities. While we are aware that we get older every year, it seems that we tend to forget that the celebrities we grew up watching age, as well. It’s likely that we remember them at the age that we last saw them, so at first thought, we’re shocked that they’ve passed. It’s very sad that their lives came to an end, but for most of them, they lived a long, successful life and passed on knowing that through the years they’ve entertained millions of people.

Farewell Danny Gans

[singlepic ID=56 h=190 w=130 float=left] According to Entertainment weekly: “Danny Gans, Las Vegas singer and comedian best known for his impersonation of George Burns, died yesterday at 52, according to CNN. The cause of death has not yet been released. Gans’ wildly successful Vegas run began in 1996, when he landed a three-month gig at the Stratosphere Hotel. In the intervening years, the Broadway vet had shows at the Mirage Hotel and the Encore Theater at Steve Wynn’s Wynn Las Vegas Hotel. He is said to have sold more tickets on the Strip than the Rat Pack or Elvis Presley, and was voted Las Vegas “Entertainer of the Year” for 11 consecutive years. He is survived by his wife and three children.” He will be missed.
